Feeding the deer!

Well, our new computer is en-route, but we were able to transfer a few photos to our old computer. Here's what's been going on with us...
We had a GREAT time on our Spring Break trip. It was so much fun to just spend time with our family-no interuptions! We started off in Tucson where we stayed at a time share condo-for free!-because Dave was asked to do a youth conference there. Dave had to do the youth conference on Saturday evening and then a fireside on Sunday night. The kids and I just swam and were able to hang out and relax. (Matt did get like a 12 hour stomach bug-nothing like puking on someone elses sheets, eh!?)Then on Monday morning it was off to Williams! We were lucky enough to stop by Dave's grandparents in Flagstaff to visit for a couple of hours. They are the BEST! Then we checked into the hotel up in Williams. The hotel was awesome! The only bummer was that the local cable company had just been busted by the FBI for stealing cable so we didn't have any TV in the room, and the first night we were there they closed the pool on account of the floating poop in the pool. EWH!!! They had it taken care of by the next day luckily-becase that was one of the things my kids were looking forward to the most! The food was yummy (buffet all you can eat-on them!) -and the train ride to the Grand Canyon was alot of fun! A once-in-a-lifetime experience for us! The kids liked seeing the Grand Canyon-but the 3 1/2 hours we got to check it all out was the perfect amount of time for our 4 kids. It was super nerve wracking for us as parents because let's face it....it's a LONG way down! And then some idiot teenager decides to climb over the guard rail-shimmy down a tree-and do some tricks on a rock dangling out on the edge. He got busted by the park rangers afterwards-and I was releived to hear my kids discussing how "stupid" that kid was. The train on the way back was cool-and they even had an old fashioned train robbery where they ride horses up to the train and tell everyone to give them all your money. All we had was a piece of gum-needless to say, they didn't want it! :)
After we checked out of the hotel, we drove about 20 minutes and decided to stop at the deer farm. It was a very worthwhile stop! We bought a cup of food and got SLAMMED by all of the hungry deer. They eat right our of your hand and even started eating our clothes after the food was all gone. Then we walked around to see all of the interesting animals they keep there: Reindeer, monkeys, and Addie's favorite-the camels! It was cool to get so close to all those crazy animals!
On the way home we stayed with Molli and Tyler in Mesa. It was fun to hang out with them and to see their adorable apartment. They were even kind enough to watch the kids so we could go to the temple, and we were kind enough to let McKay puke on their sheets! (Apparently Matt passed it on!) All in all, it was a PERFECT spring break!

Nothing like a few stomach bugs to make a Spring Break complete. I can definitely see the scare of taking your kids to the Grand Canyon. But what an awesome trip. Great memories.

Horray! So Glad you guys are back! Even though we see you all the time, it's always fun to check in on your blog. I even learned some things about your Spring Break that I didn't know about! Poop in the pool??? So sorry about that one, but you know, it's bound to happen sometime! Hee-hee!
